Building Blocks
The use of building blocks is a great tool for combining physical actions with verbal production. Some ideas for using building blocks:
Give the students a task to describe their flat or house where they live; to signifying various rooms, houses, streets with a help of blocks
Ask students when telling the story to mark different events as blocks to reflect a sequence of events.
You can use multi colored building blocks for improving grammar skills. Students should use specific colors when specific structures are required (the effect is similar to the use of colored chalk or markers).

Tape and Video Recorders
Using tape and video recorders serves to get students involved into the joint work. Students become more playful and interested in educative process.
Several suggestions for using either a tape or video player/recorder:
Have students record their conversations. This is more effective than teacher’s remarks. Students are very fast to catch their mistakes and correct them.
Have students practice and prepare a presentation or dialogue for a video or tape recorder. Student will prepare more thoroughly to be more competent, as they are to be recorded.
Videotape important presentations. For example, you may tape a job interview. It will be a stress for shy students but the learning that accomplished is impressive.

Hand Puppets
Puppets are a wonderful tool to tell the stories in livelier manner. When students use puppets in their conversations it becomes "the puppet", and not themselves, who speaks. The playfulness brought into the classroom through the puppets can really liven up the learning experience.

Paintings or Photographs
Like photographs paintings may also help in descriptive exercises. You can also use them to guess the tenses: “What are they doing?”, “What have they just done?”, “What are they going to do?”, “What happened to them earlier?
