Teaching Jobs
International school is the best place for teacher of English. There the salary is higher and they are likely to be better organized and accustomed to working with foreigners. Long paid holidays are most commonly likely to be at your disposal, such holidays like Christmas, Easter, and New Years are celebrated and you will have a time to spend them out of work.

Such international schools are most commonly of Christian type - Buddhist originally, because the majority of Thais are of this type of religious believes – but in these schools the working conditions are higher than in ordinary state or public schools.

Facilities are also better in that kind of schools. In most ordinary public or even private Thai schools there is a lack or the absence of air conditioners, and places for work are not the best. Its all is quite understandable, because international schools have more donations or simply money to provide all kinds of facilities.

The calendar year of most international Thai schools differs from the one of regular government schools. In international school the semester usually begins in August and runs until June. If you plan to work in international school the TEFL or CELTA certificate will become quite beneficial for you. The salary runs up to 80,000 baht per month, but top jobs often require a teaching certificate which you musty get only in you8r home country.

The second place where you can apply for a job is a bilingual school. They also have good equipment and facilities, high salary but not as beneficial as the international ones. They pay more than the public schools and tend to be better organized, however.  What is good is that you don’t have to work so much, but the bad is that you must pay for your work permit plus teacher's license, and visa. You might expect for about 6 weeks of paid holiday, it’s important to ask for the school calendar before the school year starts.
