The salary payments range between 36-45,000 baht a month plus paid holidays and the obligatory bonus after the finishing of the contract term. The amount of the bonus depends on the educational establishment but is typically close to one month's salary. Searching through the job web sites you can find the necessary working place. You should better search for place in the area you are interested to teach in.  Many of the more prestigious schools don’t bother to post on some of the job sites as they are deluged by under qualified applicants with badly-written CVs.

There are also governmental schools, where you may apply if previous 2 options are not good enough for you. The facilities and equipment of the schools are quite well enough, there are even computers. However, most schools are stuffy, hot environments with few resources and sometimes no books or substandard books.

At government school your salary will be approximately from 20,000 baht to 35,000 baht. The size of the class and the number of students is bigger than at other kinds of schools. The average class size is 50 students. It may not be the best environment to teach in. Also, there are usually no bonuses at contract completion. There is not much perspective and benefits to work in government schools but many people choose to do it.

Private English institutes are the last places where you can find the job of an English teacher. These are plentiful and by far the least appetizing. The working day of the teacher is not very much overloaded with work. Most commonly a foreign teacher can have one working day a week. They often have very poor resources and tend to be ill-organized and tend not to offer work permits. A lot of people work there illegally but they turn to be satisfied with their jobs. Whatever suits your taste.
