But there is one thing where you are less lucky than your Thai colleagues, its accommodation, which may be twice as higher than or a Thai person. Locations and prices are to be considered very carefully before you decide on an apartment. There is a number of hotels and guesthouses in which you can stay while looking for the proper apartment.
 
For a big number of teachers the accommodation is provided, so you should not worry, but if the things go wrong, or you are not very much  lucky, you will have to search for the apartment yourself.

When getting a flat, check it for rent other payment rates, if you were granted an apartment, it’s not mandatory that the costs for all the facilities will be quite low. Very often you should pay beforehand in some cases. Some companies require paying for all facilities first. Electricity is to be paid also, the rates may be quite high, and so you must check the electricity rate before signing the contract.

The water rate is quite also high; it can range from 300 to 500 baht, which is three to five times more expensive than paying the utility company directly. It seems to be a real rip off, but in Thailand it quite common thing and its made on a legal basis. But the payment can be increased, and you are not to argue. The average electricity bill can be up to 5,000 baht. You should be careful, using provided facilities. If you live if Bangkok you must be ready to pay up to 15,000 baht a month for accommodation if you live alone, and a further 3,500 baht in utilities.
