Hundreds of language schools - mainly in Warsaw dominate the Private sector, and propose Business English, General English and Cambridge FCE/CAE courses. A small group of the more highly regarded private language schools belong to the Polish Association for Standards in English (PASE), which supports ethical practices amongst its members.

Although conditions differ extremely between schools in Poland, the general level of professional growth for teachers (workshops, seminars and developmental observations) is extremely high, predominantly by international standards.

At the same time as a TEFL Course is not always necessary if you want to teach in Poland, it is suggested as the majority of the higher paying jobs will need a TEFL Certificate. A TEFL Certificate is not always obligatory, however, if you do have a TEFL under your belt you will find that there are many more opportunities for you in Poland and worldwide.

TEFL certificate shows your employer that you know how to teach and are dedicated. Furthermore it gives you the self-confidence required to go into a classroom and teach to you best capability making your teaching life in Poland more pleasurable and rewarding.
