Housing
As the housing service is very expensive in Korea, especially in the capital – Seoul - it is very difficult to find the prorate housing service. If you can not be provided with housing buy your university, it should at least be able to help you find accommodation and negotiate the appropriate rent and utility payments. Housing options include: the key money system (yearly deposit); monthly rent; shared housing; and dormitories, lodging houses and inns.

The Key Money System
Under the key money system, not to pay every month a rent, you give the whole sum of money plus deposit for the year to the apartment owner. At the end of the contract period, you receive the deposit back. In return for the use of your money to earn interest during the contract period, the owner gives you back the principal.
Consider the conditions very careful because any variations are possible.

The system can be risky as the owner of the apartment can decide that the resident is no longer illegible for the return deposit or simply sent him away out of the flat because of some personal reasons. You can reduce the risk by having your employer agree to pay the deposit. Deposit payments run from a minimum of 5 million won for a small studio in a less desirable part of town to 60~100 million won for a better apartment in one of the more prestigious districts.

 Shared Housing
This is more thoughtful and reliable variant but in this case you should be very careful while choosing the room mate and each person's financial responsibilities should be spelled out in advance. Try to share your apartment with the person of the same kind i.e. the foreign language teacher from the same country most desirable.

Dormitories, Lodging Houses and Inns
A lot of Korean universities have dormitories for the foreign newcomers to live in.  In addition, the Korean Research Foundation runs an International House for foreign students. Sometimes in this dormitory can live foreign tutors; despite most commonly they settle only their own personal.
