Most jobs teaching English in Korea are at private schools called "Hogwans." Despite students in Korea are taught English from the very early age, they must visit after classes courses taught by native English speakers. There are 3 levels of difficulty the teacher may choose; classes are generally available in beginner, intermediate, and advanced.

if you would like to teach adults, you'll find many adult conversational students looking for English teachers. Korean students are keen on learning English because it lets them enter the world of international business. A lot of adults attend English courses during their working hours, the time and money for that are given by their employers. 

Teachers working in Korea have approximately the 30 hours per week working employment. The main impact will be made on developing communicational skills, with less emphasis placed on grammar but more on lexical item.

 The salary for English language teachers in Korea is rather competitive, especially in comparison with similar jobs in other countries. A good English teacher can expect not only a suitable salary but he is also illegible foe health insurance policy. In many cases your employer pays for your 2 way ticket.

You will have to stay in Korea not less than a year, if you make up your mind to go there. Keep in mind that you'll need to be available for an entire school term, if not longer.

Schools can provide teachers with free accommodation. If not, you will have to look for an apartment yourself.  In the past it was fairly common for two teachers to share a furnished apartment given by the school; nowadays, fewer teachers are being asked to share and single housing is becoming the norm. So don’t worry much about it.

It’s a great change for any of western newcomers to get used to the Korean lifestyle first. On the other hand, it's a fantastic opportunity to immerse you in another culture and see the worlds interesting places. If you're up for some adventure and not afraid of a challenge, it may just be the perfect job for you.
